Sand Box

Luke is all boy and loves to dig. At the start of summer I soon realized he needed a sandbox. He was driving me crazy always digging in our flower beds. One day we headed to Home Depot and got our supplies. Luke and I quickly built a sandbox before dad got home. The only problem was we needed a truck to get sand. For the past two months poor Luke has been going outside and sitting in his empty sandbox. This week when we got home from work we realized my cute dad had come and filled Luke's sandbox. Luke loves his sandbox now and is always out there. No wonder Mark and I always say that Papa is Luke's favorite! Thanks Dad!

The Fair

Every year I get so excited to go to the fair. The highlight for me is the food! All that fried goodness! Luke was in love with the petting zoo. He called every animal a doggy and chased after their tails. We had to remind him to be soft to the poor animals. At the end of the night we went on a few rides. When I first put Luke on the boat ride he was trying to climb out so the guy running the ride told me to stay close. Once it started he was so happy that he didn't want to move. We had to drag Luke off the rides, he was in heaven!

Last Day of Freedom

Tuesday was our last day of summer freedom. Today I officially started back at work. We had one last day of fun. We met Mark at Discovery Gateway. Luke loved it. His favorite part was the Ball Beehive. There aren't a lot of great pictures from there because he was too busy playing. After the museum we went and watched the Tour of Utah time trial at the Capitol. Luke loved cheering for the bikers. There were a lot of fun activities to do after the race. Luke did a banana race. He was more excited to eat his banana! Going back will be a rough adjustment. We actually have to be on a schedule now. Ahhhh.

Ultimate Challenge

This weekend Mark did the Tour of Utah Ultimate Challenge race. This is the last leg of the Tour of Utah. It was a pretty tough race. I felt so bad driving up Little Cottonwood Canyon while the poor bikers were struggling to get up. He did a great job and we are so proud of him.

Luke was not about to stop for a picture. He was determined to get over to the bikes and the action. It was so pretty at Snowbird so we ate lunch there after the race.

The Weddin'

This weekend Mark's sister Aubree got married! We are so happy to have Wade in our family! I am super excited because now Aubree and I have different last names. I will no longer be referred to as "Big Aubrey"!!!

Luke did pretty good throughout all the festivities. He loved sitting outside the temple and clapping for the couples as they came out. The reception was perfect for him because there were "tooties", a big yard to run free and sparklers!

Welcome Home!!!

Yesterday my brother Patrick came home from his mission for a surgery. We were so happy to see him. We missed him a lot. I was excited for Pat to see Luke since Luke was still an infant when he left. Sadly Luke wanted nothing to do with Pat at the airport. Luke was sure he was some stranger trying to take him away. I love the picture of Luke trying to escape out of Pat's arms. I am sure Pat will be his hero by the time Pat goes back out!

Seven Peaks

Luke and I went with my family to Seven Peaks one day this week. It was so much fun! Luke loved playing in the little kid areas. We had a hard time keeping him off the slides. Uncle Phillip and Aunt Jessica helped him go down the slide all by himself. I love his little grin as he is going down the slide. All smiles! There is no fear in this child...such a little fish!
