Kangaroo Zoo Party

Luckily I talked the boys into another combined birthday party this year. Not sure how much longer I'll be able to do this so I better take advantage. They decided on Kangaroo Zoo which was great because it was close and then we wouldn't have a ton of kids around our sweet baby girl. I've always been big on themes for birthdays and had tons of great ideas for this one but I was voted down. I decided to give the boys what they wanted...a Curious George/Denver Broncos birthday party.

They had a blast running around with their friends and cousins. I love how their little faces were bright red and sweaty. It was so easy to just let the kids run free and have fun while Mark and I sat back and relaxed. 

When it came time for pizza and cupcakes it was hard convincing the kids to stop jumping and come into the party room. They scarfed the food as fast as they could and ripped presents open at a record pace so they could get back to playing. It was amazing how fast those two hours went and the kids could have stayed much longer.

The boys are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends that love them. I hope they had fun and remember how lucky they are. I sure do love these April birthday boys!!!

Time for Cake

Brody talked for weeks about having a Curious George cake. I couldn't find one at any bakeries so I decided to just order the decoration online and have a bakery add it onto the cake. Brody is obsessed with George so it was the perfect cake for him and he was so excited about it! We invited all of our family over to have cake and ice cream with us the night of his birthday. He talked about his little party all day.

When we were singing Happy Birthday to him he was so excited and a little embarrassed at the same time. I love how sweet and shy he is. Once again he struggled blowing out the candles. I love how his hair is blowing straight up in the air but the candles still keep glowing. 

Brody was very spoiled and received lots of fun birthday presents. He was shocked every time he opened a present and couldn't wait to play with his new toy. I think he was the most excited about his new baseball tee and wanted me to put it together right then. I love this sweet birthday boy and I hope that he had an amazing day! He deserves to be spoiled rotten on his special day! Happy Birthday Sweet Brody! I love you!!!

Happy Birthday Brody

I get so caught up in my graphic design shop and doing stuff for other people that I sometimes forget to make posters for my own children. One morning I was making a poster for a three year old and realized that I hadn't even made one for my sweetest three year old. I dropped everything and got one made and printed in a few hours. The trees at the capitol were full of white blossoms so we headed up there. Luke did a great job of making Brody smile...Clara though wanted to be held the entire time. Not easy holding a newborn and snapping pictures.

I am in love with Bordy's smile and his scrunchy nose. He smiles with his whole face and I can't get enough of it. Brody is definitely a blessing in my life. He is so easy going and the most loving little boy. When I feel down as a mother Brody always knows just what to say. It takes so little to make him happy and he finds joy in everything. The amount of kisses and hugs I get from him everyday are too many to count...and they always have to go together. The past nine months while I was pregnant and sick we spent a lot of time cuddled up on the couch watching Curious George. He is my little snuggle bug and buddy! I love you so much Brody! Thanks for being such a blessing in my life!

Brody is Three

Brody was so excited when he woke up to his birthday breakfast! He had been talking about his birthday for days now and kept asking when we were going to sing to him, wear party hats, blow out candles, and on and on! His excitement as we sang to him was pure joy. Brody loves life and gets so excited about everything! It melts my heart!

One thing that Brody has never been able to grasp is blowing out his nose and his mouth. Blowing his nose and swimming are super tricky, not to mention blowing out birthday candles. He cups his bottom lip and sends the air straight up to his hair. When the candle doesn't blow out he gets closer and closer until I'm afraid that his hair is going to catch on fire. With a little help he got the candle out and he couldn't have been happier. 

Brody loves the water and swimming so I got him some fun water toys to take to the pool when it finally warms up. He was so excited and wanted to go swimming right then. I hope this sweet birthday boy has an amazing day...he deserves it!

Easter Morning

I thought it was hard getting good pics of the boys dying Easter Eggs...finding them the next morning was near impossible. I have never seen them work so fast at finding those eggs. They ran through the family room and kitchen trying to gather as many as they could. Not sure why, but with Luke everything is a race and challenge. Every time he would find an egg he would look over to see how many Brods had. Brody is always just happy to be there and having fun! 

After all the eggs were found we had our traditional Easter breakfast of eggs a la golden rod. It's one of those breakfasts that the boys actually like but I never think to make it during the year. After Clara woke up we snapped a picture of her since it was her first Easter. The boys were so excited to show Clara her Easter basket. They wondered who would eat her chocolate egg...um I'll take care of that. 

I am grateful for the sacrifice of my Savior that allows me to be with this little family of mine forever. It has been stressful adjusting to three kids and Luke definitely pushes me to my limits everyday but I am grateful they're mine and that I have a Savior that loves us. Happy Easter!
