New York

Mark and I went to New York for the weekend. It was a lot of fun. We went to two shows, Phantom and Wicked. Wicked was amazing. I am so glad we saw it. We didn't have much time so we pretty much shopped and ate. Our hotel was perfect, we were right in Times Square.

Mark loves New York pizza. My favorite thing is to go to Magnolia's for cupcakes. Normally you wait in line for 20-30 minutes but there was no line when we went!

We love walking around Central Park.

Mexico

Over New Years we went to Mexico on a cruise with Mark's family! Thanks Tracy and Enrique! It was nice to be in the sun while it was snowing in Utah.

As careful as we were we all brought a little bit of Mexico home with us. It was not a nice souvenir. Poor Mark was pretty sick.

We had a wonderful Christmas! I love Christmas because it is so relaxing. Mark and I are both off of work until the 13th of January. We are so excited. We hope everyone had a great Christmas!

On Sunday we did gingerbread houses with my family. We get pretty excited about our houses. We have not declared a winner yet, but Mark is sure it's him.

Thanksgiving

This year we went with my family for Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun! We went to my uncle's hotel and stayed for two nights. There were a lot of people since my dad's entire extended family comes. We eat and hang out in the conference rooms.

So I asked Mark to help me and pretty much everything he suggested lets you know how ocd I am. I try to keep it a secret, but here you go:

1. I like to have the volume on the TV divisible by 5 (20, 25...). Mark likes to put the volume on 21 and then hide the remote just to make me CRAZY.

2. I hate my bare feet to touch carpet, pretty much I hate carpet. If it was up to me we would have tile throughout our whole house. You never know what is in your carpet.

3. I am addicted to Coke. I hate Diet Coke and Pepsi. One of my student's moms will bring me a Coke during the day to help me get through!!! I am a much better teacher when I have a Coke!

4. I have never used a public drinking fountain, I would rather die of thirst than use a public drinking fountain. Trust me, if you watch a first grader use a drinking fountain you will give them up also.

5. For some reason in high school I pierced my belly button. My parents had no idea and then the next day I realized what I had done and took it out. But I still have got a little bit of a wild hair in me!

6. I am obsessed with doughnuts, I stop at Tasty's doughnuts almost everyday on my way to school. I will stop and buy a dozen doughnuts on my way home from school and eat three by the time I get home. Mark says if I start to get fat, then he will put the ax down.

Today is my brother Mitchell's birthday. He is on a mission in Cherry Hill, NJ. I can't wait for him to come home! Happy Birthday Mitch! We love you!
