Christmas Shopping

The shopping done!!! It drives me crazy not to have my Christmas shopping done. I dragged poor Mark and Luke all over the Gateway Monday night checking off our shopping list. Luke was happy the entire time and slept for most of it. Hopefully you all got your requests in because it's too late now! Time to wrap!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we were with my dad's family. The entire Lamb family gets together for two days at my uncle's hotel. This year there were about ninety people. Mark would prefer to just be at home with Luke and I, but I think he had fun! We hang out at the hotel, play games, eat and shop.
Luke decided he was a huge fan of Thanksgiving because of the sweet potatoes. He will only eat sweet potatoes and bananas. After he had a few spoonfuls of sweet potatoes we tried mashed potatoes and he gagged so much that he threw up. He did have fun with my cousin Cory who is two months older.
Mitchell had to get knee surgery and decided to have it done two days before Thanksgiving. He spent the entire time up in the hotel room. Poor Mitch. Luke would hang out with him during nap time!
On Friday Luke went shopping with the girls so dad could recover from Black Friday. We went shopping and had lunch at Gardner Village. The elves were a lot of fun!

Christmas Lights

Mark would just assume not do Christmas lights at all, but he knows that's not an option. Our old house wasn't too bad since our roof was so low. The new house is a different story. Mark and I decided to put up the lights before it got too cold. We started above the garage since it was the easiest. When Mark would go up the ladder he would triple check to make sure I was holding the ladder. Not a fan of heights, obviously. After we finished the small strip above the third car garage it was time to get on the roof. After staring at the house for twenty minutes Mark finally decided it was much easier to pay someone. It was well worth our $50!

Caramel

My friends gave me this way yummy caramel recipe. It is supposed to go on apples, but my caramel somehow disappears and not the apples! I can't stop eating it. Today I decided to be mother of the year and share with Luke. I put a tiny bit on his spoon and he went to town. When the caramel was gone he threw the spoon and cried until he got more caramel. I said it was yummy!
1 Cube Butter
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Karo Syrup
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is melted. Take off heat and stir in 1 tsp. Vanilla. Enjoy!

Good Night Moon

What is it about this book? Being a teacher I have millions of books, but that doesn't matter. Luke only likes to hear Goodnight Moon at bedtime. I will read Goodnight Moon and then pull out a different book only to produce a tantrum. The second I show Luke the book he starts to smile and cuddle up with froggy. We read it a couple times through every night. Who knows if we will ever be able to move on?!?!

Pictures

We had our family pictures taken yesterday. Mark was not one bit excited and has been complaining for a while now. We were only there for an hour and Luke was happy until the very last picture! Tracy Leavitt did our pictures. I have her daughter in my class this year. Sarah came along and helped Luke to smile, he loved her! Tracy did an amazing job, I can't wait to see the rest!

Halloween

Happy Halloween!
We put Luke in his costume the night of Halloween. He had fun seeing all of the trick or treaters. Luke loves to see other kids, especially when they're in fun costumes! This was the closest poor Luke got to candy. Next year will be better!
