Valentine's Day

It looks like Luke spent all of Valentine's Day in his pajamas! We had a Valentine's breakfast at our house on Sunday. Luke got some new Thomas the Tank pajamas which he had been wanting. He insisted on wearing them to Grammie and Papa's house the next night. Since Mark had to work Luke and I went to my parents' for dinner. My mom always makes stroganoff because that's what she made for my dad while they were dating. My parents gave Luke a Buzz Lightyear kite. It frustrated him more than anything. He couldn't understand what it was supposed to do. Even after we opened it he kept crying and asking us to open it. I am sure he will love it on a windy day!

Jazz Game

Mark and I were lucky enough to go to the Jazz game a few weeks ago. We were able to go down on the court before the game and receive the game ball signed by all the players. It was fun night and pretty amazing to see all the players up close!

Chinese New Year

This weekend my mom had a Chinese New Year party! Any excuse to get together and get Mandarin take-out is a great idea. It was a fun night. Thanks mom!

Tree House Museum

The Tree House Museum is one of our favorites! Luke is so entertained while we are there and we can stay forever. Luke and Callie had such a fun time the other day that after we got some lunch they wanted to go back for more! Luke's favorite is the farming area and Callie was in heaven with the princesses!

Valentine's Countdown

Luke loved his Christmas Countdown. We would do it first thing in the morning and he loved seeing what prize was inside! In the mornings he asks where his calendar is. I decided we needed a Valentine's Countdown! Sadly there are only fourteen treats in this one! I am sure he'll learn to love it!

Jell-O Play Dough

Winter is hard to entertain kids inside all day. I saw this recipe for Jell-O Play Dough and thought it would be fun to try. Luke and Callie each picked out their Jello flavors...shocking that Callie picked pink and Luke yellow. Everything is yellow in Luke's little world! They loved helping me make it. They sat and played with it forever. I think Luke ate about half of his. Silly boy!

In a saucepan, combine 1 cup flour, ½ cup salt, 2 T. cream of tartar, 2 T. vegetable oil, 1 cup warm water, and a 3 oz. package Jell-O gelatin. Stir over medium heat continuously until it pulls away from side and forms a ball. Watch carefully because it burns easily. Continue to knead on counter until smooth. Store in a plastic bag.

Cruise

Last week went on a cruise with Mark's family to Eastern Caribbean. It was amazing. The weather was perfect and Luke was a lot of fun! Thanks so much to Norm and Sally, we had a wonderful time with everyone! Luke is still asking where everyone is. He learned everybody's names on the cruise and his misses them now.

We had three ship days on the cruise. We were worried about Luke jumping overboard so we kept a close eye on him! He was so happy eating whatever he wanted and playing in the water. We were lucky enough to get Luke to take naps in his stroller so we could stay outside and enjoy the sun! Luke did pretty good at dinner. The waiters loved him and he was happy to eat pizza and french fries every night.

Puerto Rico was a night stop. We went on a tour of Old San Juan. I want to go back during the day sometime. It was fun just walking around the old streets and looking at the buildings.

Our second stop was St. Thomas. We decided to take a ferry over to St. John for the day. The entire family spent the day on Trunk Beach. We went snorkeling and played in the sand. I think the adults liked building sandcastles better than Luke!

We did our own thing in Antigua. I think Antigua was our favorite stop. We went to a pretty beach and spent the day playing in the sand with Luke and relaxing. This beach was amazing because of the seashells. I have never seen so many in my life!

When we were in Tortola our camera ran out of batteries so we don't have any pictures of the Virgin Baths. It was super cool and so sad we don't have pictures. Nassau, Bahamas was our last stop. We went to a beach and played in the sand until the sun went away. Then we walked around the city and went shopping! The Coke in the Bahamas was my favorite part! Nothing better than Mexican or Caribbean Coke!
