And The Stockings Were Hung

My cute Great Grandma always made these felt stockings for us when we were little. When Luke was born my mom decided to carryon the tradition and make one for Luke. I decided that I should probably make one for Mark so that we could each have one. I wish I could say that I got right on it and had it done the first year Luke was born...not even close. I am not good with projects that I can't complete in one maybe two days. This poor stocking took me three years to finish. I kept putting it away and finding other projects that sounded more interesting. This year I was determined to have it done and hanging on the mantel. Obviously, my stocking was made when I was born and the patterns have changed a bit. Mark thinks that I need to make a new stocking for me now to match his and Luke's. I love my stocking because my grandma made it! It's fun having our three stockings hanging on the mantel and knowing that Grammie is in charge of making the rest.

Thanksgiving Party

This Thanksgiving we were with the Lamb family. Nothing better than spending Thanksgiving at a hotel with over 100 of your relatives! That's what Luke thinks now. He is still talking about what a good time he had there..."Best day eva." The Lamb family is my dad's extended side of the family. I don't think it's Mark's favorite thing to do, but he still manages to have a good time.

We spend two days at the hotel playing games, swimming, and eating. The first night Luke was too excited to take a nap. He kept laying in our hotel room asking where all his cousins were. Not only did he not get a nap that day, but he stayed up until 12:30 that night. Finally, when we forced him up to the room he had a hard time winding down. Luke kept telling us about the fun day he had and how much he loved his cousins. The next morning when his little eyes finally opened I told him we were going to eat breakfast but he said he didn't have time to eat, he needed to go find his cousins. It was a fun Thanksgiving and we are sad it is over. Luke will have to wait another two years for the Thanksgiving party.

My Cousin

Luke is so excited that he finally has a cousin...baby Emerson. We have had to wait a few weeks to meet Emerson since he lives out of state. Last week Annie and Jordan came into town for Thanksgiving and to bless Emerson. Luke knew that Emerson was coming and was so excited. He kept telling us that he needed to get down to Grandma Tracy's so he could play trucks and trains with Emerson. We thought for sure after he saw that Emerson was just a baby and couldn't do much that he would lose interest. Not the case. He was always asking to hold Emerson, give him loves and kiss him. It got me so excited and nervous to see Luke with his new brother! We are sad that Emerson had to go home and can't wait to see him in a few weeks!

It's A Boy

I have been slow to post about a new little addition. We are so excited to finally know that we are going to have a new little boy in our family. Luke is not totally convinced that it is a brother yet. He is still sure that it's sister Reese in mommy's tummy. Since I was super sick with this pregnancy I thought it had to be a girl, but we are excited to have a buddy for Luke!

When we went to my 16 week ultrasound Dr. Spencer first said it was a girl and told Luke he was going to have a sister. Luke started to dance around the room and yell that sister Reese was in mommy's tummy. Then, Dr. Spencer went around to a different view and told us he was going to change his guess. Luke was not happy and let Dr. Spencer know it. He started to argue with Dr. Spencer and tell him that, "It not a boy in mommy's tummy, it a 'gr.'" A few days later I was talking to Luke about it and for the first time he started to realize how great a brother will be. We talked about how they can play trucks in the sandbox and Luke said that he would teach brother not to throw sand!

So far this baby is super active. Both of mine have been really active and I start to feel them move around 10 weeks. The only difference is that this little guy loves to sit on and kick my bladder. Ahhhh. Could he really be more wild than Luke?!?! Mark and Luke have been able to feel him move so far which is always a fun point! We are excited to meet this little guy in April. Luke keeps asking me to get him out of my tummy so they can play!

How Did I Go Without?

Have you ever finally broken down and bought something and then wondered why you didn't buy it sooner?!?! That finally happened to me this past week with Photoshop. I have had Elements, but really wanted the full Photoshop. I am in love. It has been so fun taking pics of Duke and then playing around with them Photoshop. The actions that are available now are amazing and super fun! For now, this is my current obsession!

First Snow

I love the first snowfall of the year! It makes me want to sit inside, drink hot chocolate and listen to Christmas music! However, Mark and Luke do other things on these days! Luke woke right up and saw the snow. He couldn't wait to get his boots on and get outside. We couldn't believe how Luke knew just how to make a snowball and what to do with it. Who taught him that?!?! Mark was getting pelted with snow and finally decided to retaliate...I think Luke liked this just as much as throwing!

Happy Halloween

Luke was pretty pumped for Halloween. Don't you love that little face?!?! Luke didn't have time to smile for a pic, he wanted to be trick-or-treating. He wanted to go to his friends' houses and get candy! The only problem was he thought he was going to get to play at each friend's house. Mark took Luke out this year. He was still wearing his costume from work...Apple store employee! They were gone for quite a while. At one house Luke just walked in and started yelling for Chad and Mason. He is not shy at all. When they got home Luke dropped down right by the front door and started digging into the candy. My little knight thought this was the coolest night ever!
