Chocolates

My cute Grandma Waite died quite a few years ago, but I am thankful that before she died my mom learned how to make chocolates from her. Every year we carry out the tradition of making chocolates. My mom makes all the fondant and then we get together for two days to roll and dip the fondant. This year we did rum balls, caramel, peanut butter, raspberry, cherry, maple nut, mint, almond joys, and orange. We always try to get the men involved, but they just hang out in the basement and make brief appearances to look helpful! Luke just wanted at the chocolate. Someone gave him a huge chunk of leftover chocolate when we were done...I think he liked it! It was a fun two days and now we're done!

Thanksgiving

This year we went to Enrique and Tracy's house for Thanksgiving. The food was fabulous! Tracy had made some way hot jalapeno poppers as an appetizer. They were even too hot for most of the adults, but Luke was sure he wanted one. I finally gave in and gave him one, thought he'd learn his lesson. He loved it and kept wanting more. Silly boy! I think the highlight for Luke though was vacuuming after. He loves to clean...such a helper!

Bowling

This last weekend we went bowling with some of our friends. We hadn't taken Luke bowling in about a year and he loved it. Anything to do with balls and Luke is in. He was happy just standing with all the bowling balls. However, towards the end Luke and Iz just wanted to go to the arcade! Mark was the winner that night. I am just glad I beat Luke and Iz with their bumpers!

Tubby!!!

I know Luke will kill me someday for posting these pics, but I had to document them. He is obsessed with the tub lately. If you're not watching he'll strip down and scream "naky" and then run to get in the tub. We keep the door locked...can't imagine why...so he'll just hang on the door handle trying to get in. Poor guy, only one bath a day for him!

Christmas Card Book

Every Christmas we receive so many wonderful Christmas cards from our friends and family. I always hate just throwing them away when Christmas is over. Last year I saved them and just now got around to doing something with them. I made this little book and thought they would be cute sitting out at Christmas time. Can't wait for this year's cards!

Halloween

I thought Halloween would be fun with Luke this year, but I didn't realize how much fun it would be! He was all over the trick-or-treating! Our ward did a trunk-or-treat the night before Halloween. He couldn't get down how to say trick-or-treat so he just stuck with please. The candy monster would always go for a full handful of candy and we would tell him just one. He would get mad and say two.

I didn't feel so bad letting Luke all the candy he wanted because he ate almost as much pumpkin as candy. While we were carving pumpkins he started eating the guts. We finally threw the guts away and so he started just taking bites out of the pumpkins and eating the pieces we cut out.

It was a rainy Halloween but that didn't stop Luke. He was soaked through but every time I asked if he wanted to go home to Daddy he would just say more, more, more. It was a fun Halloween with our little monkey!

Halloween at School

I love Halloween at school. Most teachers dread it, but I figure the kids are going to be higher than kites and there's nothing you can do but enjoy it! This year I decided to take Luke with me to school for the Halloween Parade. He was in heaven. He loved watching the parade. All he said was, "Tids, tostumes, tids, tostumes..." The only problem was he had 24 little babysitters and he got a little overwhelmed at times!

Since the second grade teachers were army men we threw out little army men as we walked through the parade. Luke loved this idea of being able to throw things at people. He got really into it and a few kids got army men right in their face. They didn't seem to mind though!
