Skiing Accident

My cute brother Patrick had a great farewell on Sunday and was supposed to leave for his mission next Wednesday. However, he had a bit of a set back thanks to the ski hill. He went off a jump and landed on his back. He dislocated his hip and broke a few vertebrae in his neck. Hopefully he will be able to keep his same mission call and leave in a few months.
Thomas gave Pat and I massages the other night since we were bored. He would only do it with gloves on!
This is about all we do lately. Hang out in the hospital room and eat lovely cafeteria food!

Blankets

My mom got me into crocheting baby blankets for Luke. It was so frustrating at first, but now I love it. I think I like shopping for fabric the best! I figure you can never have enough receiving blankets and burp cloths. These are the first two that I made. Don't look too close!

Luke's Room

I haven't posted forever because our camera broke before Christmas and we haven't had any pictures. We finally got a new camera so I decided to show Luke's nursery. Mark and I worked on it over the Christmas break. Now we can't wait to have him here!

Jefferson Starship

Today was the Christmas sing-a-long at my elementary school. The teachers had to do a Christmas song so my team decided to do the 70's! We did a lip sync to a Jefferson Starship version of Once There Was a Snowman. I had no clue who Jefferson Starship was before we did this, but now I know all about them!

Going Private

We have decided to make our blog private. Please send an email to aubreydhansen@gmail.com if you would like to be able to access our blog.
Thanks!

Gingerbread Houses

Every year I bake gingerbread houses for my family. I don't know why I do it because they just saw the pieces apart and make new creations out of the cute gingerbread houses. We had a cute ski lodge, gas station, nativity scene, house with an attached garage, etc.

Mark thought Patrick's was the best. He did an outhouse with Santa sitting on the toilet. (Mark says Santa is taking a duke!!! So gross.) He even did yellow colored snow leaking out of the back of the outhouse.

Last year my mom covered every inch of her house with candy so Mark tried to top her this year. Sadly, his house could not withstand all the weight of the candy and decided to concede when he saw Patrick's outhouse. My house did not win the contest.

This is Jessica's winning nativity scene. It was really creative and cute!!!

Boy?!?!

We had an ultrasound today and the doctor said it looks like a boy. He told us not to paint the nursery yet. We'll know for sure on December 1st.
