Book Review

Because of my surgery I have had a lot of time to read and here are a few of the books I have read!
I could not get into this book. A lot of people recommended it to me. I may give it another try later!

This is such a good romance novel. It is the sequel to The Notebook. I really liked it!

This is one of the sadest and best books I have ever read. I cried through almost the entire book, I couldn't put it down.

This book is a little interesting, but very good. It is a bit like the Twilight series because it has fantasy mixed with everyday life. There are three books in this series and I think I will finish the series.

Hip Surgery

I had hip surgery last week and it went well. We spent a lot of time at LDS hospital and Mark was getting bored. Sadly he brought a camera to entertain him, not the exact moment I want caught on film. We found out that I have a condition called dysplasia. Pretty much my hips have been deformed since birth. You start to notice it in your twenties. It causes arthritis and the cartilage in your hips to tear. The operation to fix it is pretty major and since I hate hospitals, sickness, blood, etc. we opted to try an easier surgery for now. The doctor did a scope to fix the torn cartilage. Hopefully it will buy me some time and relief! I am so grateful for Mark, it hasn't been easy and he has been wonderful at taking care of me. I don't know what I would do without him!

New Job!

I know I am way late in posting this, but Mark got a new job! He's no longer an accountant! He is going to work for Goldman Sachs! He is really excited about his new job.

New York

Mark and I went to New York for the weekend. It was a lot of fun. We went to two shows, Phantom and Wicked. Wicked was amazing. I am so glad we saw it. We didn't have much time so we pretty much shopped and ate. Our hotel was perfect, we were right in Times Square.

Mark loves New York pizza. My favorite thing is to go to Magnolia's for cupcakes. Normally you wait in line for 20-30 minutes but there was no line when we went!

We love walking around Central Park.

Mexico

Over New Years we went to Mexico on a cruise with Mark's family! Thanks Tracy and Enrique! It was nice to be in the sun while it was snowing in Utah.

Aubrey, Max and Aubree on the beach in Acapulco.

We loved our waiters on the ship! They were a lot of fun!

As careful as we were we all brought a little bit of Mexico home with us. It was not a nice souvenir. Poor Mark was pretty sick.

One night the girls went dancing on the ship!

Gingerbread Houses

On Sunday we did gingerbread houses with my family. We get pretty excited about our houses. We have not declared a winner yet, but Mark is sure it's him.
